Below are a few suggestions to help get the year off to a GREAT start for you and your child!
1. Make drop off time brief and positive! It makes the transition from home to school easier for everyone, especially your child. Teachers are always there with hugs for those children who have a hard time.
2. SEEDS follows the Cy-Fair school schedule and severe weather warnings. So when in doubt, tune to the local news or radio
3. Label EVERYTHING! Jackets, lunch boxes, back packs, nap mats, etc.
4. No toys from home please. Huggable toys are permitted for those who have naptime but they will be put away after nap.
5. Birthday celebrations are simple. No homemade treats are permitted because of licensing restrictions but feel free to bring pre-packaged treats. If you need any suggestions, just ask your child's teacher.
6. Please make sure your child has a change of clothes in their backpack that is suited for the weather or season.......accidents happen.
7. We will be cooking, painting, gluing, and experimenting so make sure that your child wears appropriate play clothes
8. No sandals please! Only closed toe shoes. It makes play time more fun for everyone, especially on the playground.
9. Make sure your child has a healthy snack and/or lunch if they stay till 2pm complete with a bottle of water. For a suggested snack list click here.
